Mission Statement


Taking kids in new directions by nurturing the mind, body and spirit of the children living in East Dayton. This is done by sharing the love of Christ with them, teaching them to love one another, providing nutritious meals, mentoring, guidance and opportunity. We will attempt to do this by instilling in them values and goals that will map a new direction for them to follow and by setting an example of how to live a Christian life by being there when they need someone to talk to and care for them with an open heart and mind.

We are a faith based non-profit who;

Memorial Church developed Kids In New Directions (KIND) 21 years ago to provide outreach to at-risk, undeserved children of Dayton. KIND provides services to children of all faiths and beliefs. Our mission is “to feed the mind, body, and spirit of children living in Dayton” through after school and summer programs for children grades K-12.

We offer classes and opportunities in areas such as music, art, science, mathematics, computer skills, reading, photography, skits, puppets and life skills. We use various tools to reach out to those who are the most need…our children
